Football manager on MS surface Pro
Main Post:
Hello I am a big football manager fan and have bought the game year in and out. Recently I am finding time on the PC to play hard to come accross but still love the games. I am lucky if I get through 1.5 to 2 seasons before the next version is out...
My partner and I are thinking of buying a tablet soon. And I know the MS Surface Pro 2 is suppose to be pretty 'powerful' the 256gb version has 8gb of ram and a decent CPU. But not sure about the touch screen and no mouse etc for FM (I will be getting FM14)
Can I get anyones experience with using a surface pro to play a recent version of FM on, or just advice/opinions from tech guys out there. This would be a big part of what tablet we buy. For instance is it any good to play FM on public transport? As the handheld version is good but has nothing on the full version. I travel a bit for work and would love to play whilst away.
Thanks

I'll preface this reply with a note that I don't own a tablet and have not tried FM on one (although I did see someone playing FM on a tablet on a train once).
I would have thought FM would be one of the better games on a tablet, mostly because of the game style in that it doesn't need constant attention and there's a lot of clicking and drag and dropping which should be replicated with no issues by tapping.
There isn't really an occassion where you'd need more than that other than maybe selecting a number of players at once. The only thing you might have to do is use the 2D match engine instead of the 3D to save on battery power.
Obviously it's probably best to wait until someone who has tried it responds but I think you'll be fine.
